Root Pruning
I f you are struggling to grow turfgrass in those certain areas we all have experienced then Root pruning might be the solution to the problem. Tree roots dont just grow down but rather 80% of the tree roots grow laterally from the base and are in the first 12 inches of the soil profile. Mature roots caan spread 2-3 times the radius of the canopy which is much further then the longest branch of the tree. The web of tree roots are competeing with the same Water, food and space that the turf needs to thrive. Implementing root pruning annually will sever the roots 8 inches below the surface and fully intercept the enchroaching roots into the root zone of the desired turf. With the Imants root pruner attachment we can mechanically sever the roots with almost no diruption to the turf.
